A TASTY STORY

Quality grows over time.

In 1960 a businessman from Verona, Renzo Compri, decided to open a small local artisan business, completely managed by a family of ancient tradition, to sell its products in and around Verona with the trademark COMPRI RENZO. From the outset his little company revealed good insight into the individual tastes and trends of the most demanding palates and the huge success of the business made it necessary to upgrade the entire production system technologically. Therefore, in 1975 Renzo Compri made up his mind to invest in the construction of a new plant.

At that point, he decided to qualify the products with the trademark “CITRES COMPRI” and to turn his single-owner company into a company. With the introduction of innovative production systems, Citres became highly competitive and could finally expand its horizons and develop a much larger and more organized distribution network. The high quality standards achieved by the company enabled Citres to grow steadily and in line with the demands of an evolving market, and also achieve success abroad.

In 2005 the company undertook construction of a new plant on an area of 30,000 sq.mt. in the new industrial zone of Bovolone, near Verona, which will place the company among the top 10 in Italy for production capacity. Our mission, our constant dedication, the passion we put into our work, the continuous updates and new ideas we apply are the elements that day after day guide us in the pursuit of new undertakings, without deflecting us from the traditions of the founder.
